Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as far that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood and I –
I took the one less travelled by
And that has made all the difference
Something poetic for you today….feeling rather melancholy and reflective….
Sometimes you wake up and wonder how you got to where you are now. What paths you have taken and what doors were left unopened. Did you miss some, should you have taken another turn? Have you made wise decisions. Any regrets? Are you proud of where you are now?
At the end of my reflections, and after another coffee, I look around, see my loves, what they have become and will be. I see my past and look into the future through their eyes and I am satisfied. Happy for the road taken and where it has led me. To friends, husband, family. To a community, to a country I love. To passions and dreams and the joy of when the two meet. Yes, I am glad for the road I have taken. Are you?
Well, now to the business hat hand….
My little cardi is done, after a lovely evening with the Knotty Ladies in Bendigo. Now unto the next….as you may know, we are expecting another baby cousin in a few weeks, so I better start something special quick smart. The tricky bit is that we don’t now what flavour. So I will have to produce either a unisex piece or one of each (as there will be another cousin later in the year…). And the thing is, I really wanted to try out my new Madelinetosh Sock for something other that a sock. I’ll be running a sock knit-along in a few months, so there will be plenty of opportunity then.
So here is what I have chosen…
And the pattern is from here
Can you see it? I can’t wait. So off I go to use the next couple of hours of quiet time to cast on.
